Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and the American Express Card.

Shipping And Handling IMPORTANT!

A minimum order requirement of $ 33.95 is now set for our shopping cart ($ 25.00 in goods and approx. $ 8.95 shipping). We regret the requirement of this amount, but the cost of handling, processing, and shipping orders below this value is prohibitive.

We do not have a separate 'handling charge' as some of our competitors have.

Freight Charges are for buyer's account and are not refundable. If you place an order with us, and you change your mind and decide to refuse the delivery and shipment is returned to us (without the issuance of an RMA by us), any return shipping charges are also for your account. A handling charge of $ 5.00 and a restocking charge of 20% will be assessed on all unauthorized returns.

Damage Claims
Our F.O.B. Point is Coral Springs, Florida. FOB is a commercial term and means "Free on Board". That is the point when title to the goods and risk of loss passes to you the buyer. If shipped via UPS, you must report your damage initially by contacting UPS at (800) 742-5877. You will need your UPS Tracking Number. Please retain the package and all packing material in its original condition and you must allow UPS to inspect the damaged shipment. UPS will make a determination as to the disposition of the goods. DO NOT RETURN THE MERCHANDISE TO US WITHOUT AN RMA # (Return Merchandise Authorization) . Then contact us by calling (954) 346-4195. We will gladly file the claim against UPS on your behalf, but can only do so after UPS has inspected the damaged shipment.

We can serve the entire State of Florida within one day using UPS Brown Label. If your order includes 'perishable' items that should not be exposed to prolonged periods of heat, we suggest that you select UPS RED LABEL. This is over-night delivery and you will have your package by approx. 10:00 AM in the morning. Blue and Brown Label Deliveries, will only reach you in the late afternoon.

Our Shopping Cart is 'automated' and links directly to the UPS Rate Schedules. A "Street Address" is required for all shipping destinations. UPS will not delivery to a Post Office Box. We utilize 'Address Verification' with UPS and any incorrect mailing address will be rejected by UPS (not by us). The system may apply a default shipping charge of $ 0.01 if the UPS Address Verification System is unable to verify the shipping address you have entered. A UPS Tracking Number will be provided to you automatically by our Shopping Cart and will be sent to the Email address you provide. Please make certain that you provide a correct E-mail address.

For destination in Alaska or Hawaii, we will ship via the U.S. Postal Service. USPS Priority Mail is your only option since any shipment via UPS is simply too expensive. Ground Service via the US Postal Service would simply take too long and is not an option.

International Destinations are not serviced. We ship only in the United States.

Our shopping cart links directly to UPS and downloads the rates applicable to your 'Zone' and calculates the charges for your shipment. This does not include additional 'ice packs', 'Dry Ice', or 'polystyrene foam containers that may have to be to included with your shipment during the summer months.

If additional charges for shipping are applicable to your shipment, we will make contact with you. You may either pay the additional amount for the shipping or cancel your order. All packaging - except 'Ice Packs', Dry Ice', and 'polystyrene foam Containers - or any applicable handling charges are included in our shipping charges.

It is your obligation to select the correct shipping method. Your shipping selection will obviously vary depending on the destination and if any 'perishable' food items are included in your shipment.

If you would like to obtain the approximate cost of your USPS Priority shipment to Alaska or Hawaii, please visit our web site. Remember, all products carry a net weight, but the cost of packing material and the use of 'ice packs' will increase the weight slightly. Do not use Authorize.net for any transaction that may involve additional charges. Use the option "Payment via Credit Card". This enables us to process your transaction manually and charge your card for the correct amount.

Delivery Schedule We normally ship your order either the same day (if received prior to 12:00 Noon) or the following day. We do not ship any orders including 'heat sensitive' items on Fridays via UPS Brown Label. Your shipment would only sit at the local UPS Distribution Center. Blue Label and Red Label shipments will be made if requested.

International orders are not accepted.
 

Back Orders
We update our 'On-line Inventory' daily. During the update procedure, our shopping cart may inform you that 'Shopping is suspended'. You will be able to place items into your cart again after a short delay.

If your item is not in stock, our site will inform you that the item is 'Outof Stock/Currently on Order' and you will not be able to buy an item if it is not in stock. Please check back with us or join our mailing list and we will inform you if the item is back in stock.

Certain merchandise is not 'Inventory stock' and you are allowed to place special orders for such items. This type of inventory is clearly marked for your convenience. This includes Dimpflmeier bread or Schmidt-Lebkuchen as an example.

Substitutions
We will make every effort to contact you if an item is not in stock. Seasonal pressures may prevent us from doing so. Minor substitutions of similar items and values may occur if the value is around $ 10.00. You will receive equal or better value in such instances. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Tax Charges Tax Charges For orders made from within the United States sales tax will be applied to all in state orders. Our business is operated from Florida. All other orders are tax free, please make sure to click the exempt box to reduce tax to zero. Taxes are charged only on those items that are not considered 'essential food' items (i.e. regular groceries). Non-essential items such as Chocolates, Chocolate Gift Boxes, etc. are taxable.

Credit Card Security All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. Credit card information is only entered when you reach the "SECURE" site of Authorize.net. You will note that your web address changes from 'http://www.gdh-imports.com' to 'https://www.authorize.net'.

You will also see a 'lock' on the bottom of the screen denoting that you are at a 'secure site'.

Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. If you by chance received the wrong item, please contact us within 24 hours upon receipt of the shipment. 

If your order is damaged during shipment, please contact the carrier immediately. We make every effort in packing your shipment carefully, but occasionally improper handling while the package is in transit can result in damaged merchandise.

Privacy Policy GDH-Imports does not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. Any items left in your shopping basket will be automatically purged after six hours. Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Issue a unique identifier (e.g. customer login)
d. Monitor customer account status beyond that required for individual purchases

Returns Policy We regret, but 'food items' cannot be returned for credit. We are certain you will understand this policy. No customer would want to receive merchandise that may have been returned by some other party.

Remittance Terms Payment is due upon receipt of your order. We are unable to process your shipment until full payment has been received.
